Convert your ship to sustainable energy
From now on, stage V is the minimum standard and from 2030 the inland shipping fleet must sail energy neutral. This is a major challenge for the coming years, a lot of work must be done to realize everything on time.
Stage V
Many ship owners want to switch to more sustainable energy. As of 1 January 2019, newly purchased main and auxiliary engines in inland shipping with a power below 300 kW must comply with phase V by the government.
Recommendation
Stage V is the current standard, but this is not CO2 neutral and without emissions
The options below are strongly recommended:
- 100% electric
- Diesel (V) – electric
- Methanol
- Methanol – electric
- Ammonia– electrisch
- Hydrogen – electric
